Extra-Curricular Clubs

We provide a wide range of extra-curricular sporting opportunities for our pupils.  Physical activity and school sports clubs being offered during the current academic year are:

Football (Year 4, 5 and 6)

Multi Sports (Years 1 to 3)

Boys' Breakdance (Years 4 to 6)

Fitness and Multi-Skills (Key Stage 1)

Street Dance (Years 3 - 6)

Football (Years 1 to 3)

Hockey (Years 5 and 6)

Netball (Years 4 to 6)

Rugby (Years 5 and 6)

Cricket/Athletics (Years 5 and 6)

Karate (Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2)

These clubs are delivered by teachers and professional sports leaders and take place either before or after normal school hours.  

The Year 1 to 3 Football Club is coached by professional coach Graham Hicks, who also uses Crompton Primary as a base for his holiday Soccer Stars club, which is open to all children from Reception to Year 6.

The Year 4, 5 and 6 Football Club is coached by John Platt, who has a wealth of coaching experience as a former Oldham Athletic player and coach.

Professional coach Tim Liptrot, from Oldham Sports Development, coaches the extra-curricular activities in hockey, rugby, cricket and athletics and his colleague Laura Mulholland teaches the Boys' Breakdance Club.  Olivia Wolstencroft represents Caroline's School of Dance in leading our Street Dance Club.

Sensei Dervish from Rochdale Kaizen Do Karate Club teaches karate skills to pupils in our Friday Karate Club.
