Our learning this half term
This half term, we compared the explorations of Christopher Columbus and Neil Armstrong in our History lessons. We used the internet to research and enjoyed learning facts through songs. As part of our learning, we learnt about the compass points. We made our own compasses and played direction games to secure our knowledge.
In maths, we have been working hard to develop our confidence in all areas of maths, in preparation for our SATs. We are getting much better at checking our answers carefully. We enjoyed learning more about money by working practically with coins to make different amounts.
In English, we enjoyed developing our writing skills through the stories The Day the Crayons Quit and The True story of the Three Little Pigs. We also completed a factual piece of writing about King Charles III before writing about what we would do if we were King or Queen for the day. Some of our ideas were very interesting!
We thoroughly enjoyed our Eco day and did lots of activities outside like, planting bulbs, going on a nature hunt and creating art using natural materials that we found on our hunt.
